CH losing pressure and drips from boiler (Ideal 24 combi)

Hi,

We have no heating in our kitchen as its very small and no room for a radiator. When our boiler comes on when its very cold we get some condensation coming from the bottom of the boiler.
Is this normal?

We had an engineer look inside the boiler and he said there were no leaks visible?

Our boiler pressure drops slowly over a week. Could this be related?

The engineer didn't really seem interested about the condensation. He just said no leak in the boiler so must be a leak under floor in bungalow. And would charge 250 a day to find it if he could find it There are old rust marks on the bottom of the boiler so must have been doing it before. We moved in at the end of June. The boiler was fitted in 2012.

You need a different engineer then, maybe one who specialises in Ideal boilers, so they know what to look for. My boiler is located in my garage which apart from the boiler and tumble dryer gets no additional heat and doesn’t get condensation, so something is amiss. Did you read the linked thread?

Ah well I suppose when you ask the question and the lead Engineer for your boiler manufacturer gives you the correct answer, but you just dont want to hear it, get the wife to start a new post with exactly the same fault and hope someone can tell you what you want to hear
