CH Pump / 3 port diverter valve

When heating is turned on lots of buzzing coming from diverter valve ( this is a grey square box, Siemens, fitted close to the pump ) and heating takes between 30mins and an hour to fire up.

Is the problem likely to be with the diverter valve or the pump ??? and any solutions ??

I am not a plumber or heating engineer but i would say the buzzing is the motor that operates the valve. Does it have a "manual" lever? try moving that if that solves the problem with your system the valve has gone. you can get a new one from here
