Hi,
I have a Worcester oil boiler that works perfectly well, although about eight years old.
My question is about the electronic timer (if you google T23OE7 there are dozens of images and offers for around £145).
I only use the heating in the ON or OFF mode on the timer and leave the hot water permanently ON.
I set the requirement manually by scrolling up and down through the OFF/TWICE/ONCE/ON mode of operation choices by pressing the button.
And that is where the problem is starting - the selector indicator may scroll through the On and Off choices with four button presses - or it might need slightly more prodding of the scroll button to get to what I want.
Could it just need contacts cleaning or is it about to fail. I'll consider changing the boiler out complete if it needs replacing.
Thanks in advance
Jim

The buttons on those controllers probably aren't designed for too many operations (the usual scenario is set a program & override it occasionally). Replacing the boiler would be a rather extravagant way to fix a worn-out controller button
EDIT You can almost certainly fit a different (cheaper) controller if you want to

Thanks a lot for your reply, I had quite a chuckle at your sentence - Replacing the boiler.....
I thought it might have been something I could do myself, I'll give it some thought.
