Changed diverter valve now 230 won't fire

After a lot of research I decided to change my leaking diverter valve on Worcester Bosch 230i. Now the boiler won't fire. The fan comes on and the pilot ignites but it doesn't fully fire up. Any ideas?

You can look for any wires that you have pulled off if you like.

But gas/combustion issues we do not recommend for DIY repairs.

So the best advice would be to get a competent gas reg engineer.

People like Rob should be allowed to use the sites which are aimed at helping people.
I haven't broken anything, the replacement of the diverted is a simple task if done carefully.
It could be that there were other issues that I was seeking help on.
I did notice that the new diverter has an integral screw-valve where the old one didn't. Is this some type of bypass? Which direction should it be in? Not that it makes a difference either way the boiler doesn't fire and now my overflow valve is continually leaking!
It's been a good boiler but I may just get a new one.

Yet probably more helpful than yours.

If the over flow is going its because you aren't meant to use them to drain the boiler. Remove the red head, which is a bit awkward, and clean the seating.

I've got a good idea what the fault is but can't advise as its gas man territory.

It's a shame that you now want a new boiler, as the 230 is one of Worcesters best.
