Hi all,

Bit of a door newbie so please be gentle :)

At the moment I have a full length glass PVCu back door, I need to put a cat flap into the bottom of it. I've been quoted varying amounts of cash to take the glass out, cut a hole etc....

My question is, if I buy a new PVCu door, can I fit it into the old frame? Is it as simple as that or do i need to change the frame as well?

or what are the best options for fitting the cat flap?

ta in advance :)

If you have a full length glass door you should be able to buy just a full panel for the door (do not be conned you do not need a new door only the portion that is glass changing to plastic infill panel.

be careful when choosing panel as to moldings etc to allow the cat flap to fit. you will also need to know the thickness of the unit and also the profile the door is made from for colour matching.

alternatively you could fit a flap through the wall
