hi out there, i am about to change my electric shower for a new one. the water pipe comes in at the same place in the new one as it did at the old one (same make shower) the new one has a push fit connection where the old one has a compression joint. if i disconect the pipe at the compression joint will the pipe fit straight into the push fit or will the end of thr pipe be damaged after being in the compression joint making it likley to leak if put into the push fit joint. thanks for any help.

If you can get the nut and olive off and the pipe is not damaged then you should be ok.

Normally have comp joints on showers so check manufacturers instructions :D

make sure pipe is very clean if it is a push fit fitting, otherwise jointing compound etc on pipe may stop seal and eventually eat into rubber 'O' ring in fitting.
