Hi, we've just moved into a house which has floor-ceiling fitted wardrobes in every bedroom. I would say they are similar to sharps type bedroom furniture. The problem is they are all quite old fashioned in colour/door design, but we can see they are quite high quality and would be loathe to rip them out as we could not afford to replace them with as good quality fittings. We have seen lots of websites offering replacement doors (still not that cheap), but we would still be left with peach carcasses/end panels etc.

Can anyone suggest how we may update these wardrobes and get a good quality finish? We wondered about spray painting. Although the doors aren't that up to date I think a new colour would bring them up to date enough, so long as we could get the whole units done in the same colour. Also do you know if this would be possible to do without having to remove the carcasses & take them off site? Any other suggestions?
Thanks.
