Chaulky paint under wall paper

Just hoping someone can give me a nice simple answer if it’s ok or not, if not and what to do…

Finally decided to sort our spare room out after leaving it for a year after renovating the rest of the house. Been stripping the wallpaper and under neath is this chaulky paint, is it ok to just lining paper over it?
