I want to put loft boards down in my loft to make it easier to move around after I've insualted it. It's only to store the xmas decorations etc so all I need is basic tounge and grove boards.

In the past when I've searched I've seen posts like '3 boards for £3 at B&Q'. Well thats certainly not the case now, it's 3 boards for £5.25!

Does anyone know a cheaper source for these boards?
Cheers

you could try industrial places that have large pallets.. they normally throuw them away or have to pay to get them re-cycled..
if you ask thy may give them to you for free...
you can then board out your loft for the hassle and cost of collecting them and wrenching the individual boards off..

the "loft boards" pack of 3 cover 1.2m² @ £4.87 / pack ( wickes )
chipboard flooring ( 2400 x 600 ) covers 1.44m² @ £5.85 / sheet..

the added advantage is that there are fewer joints..( most of which inexplicably occur between rafters.. ).. if you can get them up there the bigger boards would be the way to go..
