cheapest way to use the heating

Hi All

Finally got back to the forum today to read all your replies and I'm astonished at the number of you who've contributed to my question - thank you.

I should have said in my first post that we have a thermostat which we keep somewhere between 10 and 15, depending on how cold it is.

Currently we have the heating come on for 3 hours in the morning and again in the evening - there's only 2 programmable options a day. However, I work from home quite a lot and do find that I turn the heating back on when it's cold, which was why I was wondering if it was cheaper to keep it on.

Maybe I should just use an electric heater in the office instead... :)

Put a 4" nail through the wall thermostat set at 15, dismantle the CONSTANT setting on the programmer and then sit back and watch the other half going spare!
