Today's lot would need major surgery if they tried to kick a wet leather ball around for more than 2min, and if they tried to head it they'd be on the sick for the next 6months.

Too right dia, especially if they headed the lace. There was a study done on how many ex footballers from the old days ended up with ouldtimers disease from heading those old balls. The percentage was very high. My uncle Frank was one of them, he played for Stoke in the same team as Mathews before and after the war. Sadly, was doollally in his last years.

Juventus are reportedly keen to add Fernando Torres to their ranks this summer, and have supposedly made contact with one of the Chelsea man’s inner circle.

The Italian giants want to lure the £50million flop to Turin next season, and have already sounded out his former agent Margarita Garay over the possibility of a move.

Garay remains close to Torres, and has allegedly discussed the striker’s situation at the Blues with Juve’s sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Torres recently ended his 24-game goal drought in Chelsea’s FA Cup win over Championship outfit Leicester, but the Spaniard’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge is still very much in doubt, leading Juve to believe he would be a viable transfer option in the summer.

How much was our wager again? that Torres wont be at Chelsea end of next season?
do you believe everything the newspaper prints? Come on, surely even you know that speculation surrounds every single player so these types of stories will crop up from time to time. If he was to leave, it would be to one of the madrid teams.

Anyway... Just depends what yiu can afford to lose, so name your price

You name the price, you called the bet,

and Torres will never go to any of the Madrid teams....He wont go back to Athletico so soon, maybe to finish his career. He would NEVER go to Real as he hates them with a passion and said so himself, thats like Gerrard or Carragher going to United!

Well let's just make it a friendly £20 bet. Wouldn't want to put you too much outta pocket. You game? Hitting the pub tonight for the game. Looking forward to it. Should be a good one

That's why I'm saying if he was to leave Chelsea it would be to go back home, so probably in about 4 or 5 years time

   You have much to learn glasshoppa

Just stuck a fiver on torres to score anytime and chelsea to win 2-1. Cant wait to pick up my winnings!

Sadly, I reckon Chelsea are nailed on to win this one. City have two important defenders out and seem to be stuttering. So Chelski are sure to take advantage, no way they can lose, not in a million years. Even Torres will probably score again, in fact I think it might be 4 or 5- 1. Yessiree Chelski will canter it.

Ivanovic's just had to go off for chelski, that's it now....they're bound to win.

Lampard just nearly gave Balotelli a goal, he won't do that again. They can't lose now.
Meanwhile back at the proper game, liverpool battering qpr but can't score. If there was a league table for battering teams without beating them we'd be miles ahead.

Oh, how unlucky can you get, never a penalty says lawrenson but aguerro slots it in anyway.
Won't make any difference though chelski are bound to get annoyed now and batter these mancs.
