Hi,
My Norfrost Aura chest freezer has made a loud electrical pop a couple of times today with an accompanying smell of burning. Pulling it away from the wall I noticed a small black smoke patch behind it. Freezer appears to be still working, fuse is OK etc. Obviously, I'll need to get it checked out but in the meantime what should I do and is it likely to be safe??
Thanks in advance....

Ermmm maybe unplug it?

Do you really want to goto bed with a faulty freezer which is burning the wall and you can smell burning?

Yes, exactly what I thought. Obvious problem of where to put all the frozen food now. Shame, as after the pop the freezer appears to be still working. Safety first, I guess...
