I am thinking of getting the chimney breast removed in my dining room to open up a bit more space. It's just an early consideration at the moment. I was wondering how long the work would typically take (removal/steel installation/finishing works). It's a 1930s house. The breast is 1.4m across, 400mm deep, and 2.4 m high.
