Hi
Looking for some advice. I have a chimney stack that is in a bad way, needs repointing, bricks have blown etc. Damp patch has appeared in ceiling. Rather than repair as it isn't used, I want to remove the stack. Would this require planning permission?

Probably not. But if it's a listed building, conservation area, scheduled ancient monument etc it may well do. Best to confirm with your local planners to be on the safe side.
