Hi all,

I have a gravity fed system with about 1m head to 1 single shower, and one rain shower with additional handset. There is only about 3m of 15mm pipe to each shower. It is unlikely that all three shower heads will be used at once, but it would be good to have the capacity to run two at full bore. The storage tank looks of a standard size. I'd be grateful of any advice on selecting a shower pump with the following in mind: capacity/ noise/ reliability. I intend to fit it in the loft space, about 600mm below the tank.

Cheers,

Ian

Three shower heads? You only mentioned two. High quality shower pumps that can do two showers are not cheap at all. You also have to consider the size of the cylinder - most run out of hot water very fast using one shower, never mind two, and a rain shower will empty that cylinder zippo.

If parts of your water system are quite old, it may be time to re-assess the system and get it updated to cope properly. Is your cold water mains good in pressure and flow? A thermal store/heat bank mains pressure system may be the answer.
