B&Q do a range of handy metal sections too - certainly you'll get aluminium, not sure about chrome.

A lot of high street hardware stores do ali angle in 4mtr lengths, if polished with ooo wire wool looks quite 'nice' or could be sprayed with chrome effect spray.
