This may seem basic to someone with more computer skills than me but am a bit stuck. I have an old HP laptop which is 15 years old which was my daughters when she started uni in 2010. She has newer ones now. Originally it had Windows 7 on it, I upgraded it to windows 10. After managing to install Windows 11 on another (unsupported) old laptop of my daughters which was 10 yrs old after following YouTube videos I thought I would try it on the older one, it crashed during the install and had to get a n expert in to get windows 10 back. I tried it again and the same thing happened. This time I managed to get Windows 10 back. Next I thought I would try and turn it into a Chrome book, after some hiccups I managed to install it from a usb, just tried the trial first. I powered down as it was getting late. Tried the next day but it only booted up to Windows, can't get the Chrome back. Is it still installed somewhere because if it is I can't find it. Tried the usb with the Chrome OS flex on but cannot get it to open. Tried downloading it again with another usb but the install won't work. What am I doing wrong. As an old duffer I do struggle with some techno stuff. Sorry if I have waffled on. Has anybody got some advice as to where I am going wrong?
