Cleaning wall after removing self adhesive border

Any top tips for getting the remaining yellow residue off the walls (plaster boards with paint) when you've removed one of those self adhesive borders?

Tried various cleaning solutions but no joy, white spirit has come closest but took a long time just to do a hand size patch?

Try nail varnish remover..or you can buy a liquid called 'sticky stuff remover' from diy stores
