Just a quick one that's been bugging me, but need to know before I go out and order the timber!!
Going to use cant rails for my closeboard fence, and as far as I could tell, you'd fix the cant rail to the front of the post, and also the gravel board.
The cant rail is 47mm thick, and a gravel board 22-25mm thick, so the featherboard won't rest on the gravel board.
Have I missed something, or do you just space the gravel board out a little?
Oh, and it seems pretty standard to allow 1 bag of post crete per post - right?
I'm using 4" post and a 6" post auger to go two foot deep, will a bags worth of post crete really be lost in a hole like that??? Or do I need to make a slightly wider hole?
