Is this a DIY job?

Good luck

Far from it. As I stated in post #2Is this a DIY job?
at what point is it going to sink in that YOU cant do itI've decided that I'll just extend the balanced flue through the carport.
The horizontal flue pipe coming through the wall is aluminium, do I have to use an aluminium elbow to take it up vertically and another aluminium pipe to take it through the carport? I've been on for hours looking for aluminium elbows and pipes but they very rarely specify which material they use which is so frustrating so I've been trying to identify whether they're aluminium by looking at the photos which is very difficult.
Polypropylene elbows and pipes aren't suitable when connected to the horizontal aluminium pipe?
Thanks
No, what you have to do is stop, consider safety, and absolutely definitely not attempt this. Extending a flue in this manner is illegal and would be classed as Immediately Dangerous under GSIUR Unsafe Situations. Only manufacturer-approved components may be used on a boiler flue system.I've decided that I'll just extend the balanced flue through the carport.

That's fair enough, I appreciate the safety aspect as I can very well imagine what some DIYers can do.A qualified gas engineer would use the correct Baxi parts yes, and if they weren't available they would advise that the job couldn't be done. They wouldn't be going around trying to source non approved components to add to a flue system.
Modifying a flue is considered to be gas work, and forum rules prohibit advising DIYers on how to carry out gas work. What you feel you're competent to do is of course up to you, but the only advice we can give here is the advice already given. Don't attempt this, it's not safe.
really so you set the high and low pressures on the gas valve can you tell me how you achieved the low settingOne thing I'm not is stupid, I installed the boiler year's ago and I made sure that it was installed correctly with a great eye for detail to make sure that it was done right.
When you have google and can buy the correct diagnostic equipment you can do many thing's, you make out as if it's complicated when it's not.you have b

How did you check your gas connections soapy bubbles![]()
really so explain in a simple sentence how you set the presssure and what you removed to do so , should be able to tell me off the top of your head .When you have google and can buy the correct diagnostic equipment you can do many thing's, you make out as if it's complicated when it's not.
I know more about gases, pressure, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, combustion, mathematics etc than you'll ever know, it's not just theoretical either.
I've already found the correct manufacturer parts that I need.
