Hello,

I've removed a soil pipe and I need to close the hole in the wall (cavity).

What is the best product to use for this?

Regards,

If you tell them if its an internal or external & more details, they MAY come back with advice.

Im not a builder, but if it were external brick wall I would try & match a brick. Internal whatever, but I suppose you want to know about bridging the cavity.??

Absolutely ;) ; the op already said it's a cavity wall so if he wan'ts it to look decent from the outside, let in some matching bricks; on the inside cut some blocks to fit (or use some more bricks), then base with bonding plaster (or render) & finish off with a plaster skim.

Personally I'd use a melon, a small canteloupe would be best, but they tend to need replacing fairly frequently, and I'm not sure of their thermal properties. On the upside you can grow new melons, try growing new bricks :D .. OK, do as the others say

the hole is in the garage on one side and in the house cloakroom on the other so i am not at all bothered about cosmetics.
Just something that will last and fairly easy to mix / apply.
