Coir installation

Just a quick question, I am putting down some laminate into my conservatory but would like a small section of coir matting by the external doors. Is this stuff laid the same as carpet with grippers round the edge and underlay ?

Take it your on about entrance coir matting? Basically a big door mat? If so you glue or loose lay with a minor exspansion. Glue more stable and loose lay you need to cut a bit short as will grow when wet. But you can take up and bang the dirt out of it. Plus if it does grow and bubble just trim a bit more off. O and it goes direct to the subfloor.
