once you have cut out and replaced the damaged section, I recommend you add a litre of Sentinel X400 before refilling - it will loosen old black sediment so that after 4 weeks circulating, you can drain and rinse it out. It will cost you £15 at your DIY shed or pluimbers merchant. It is an easy DIY job.

You will know it is starting to work when the water goes inky black with loosened material.

Bale out all the mud from your F&E tank first and sponge it clean.

If you can afford an additional £100, fit a Magnaclean as well. It will remove circulatinmg black sediment and prevent it collecting into a future blockage. I guarantee you will be amazed and delighted to see how much sedimet it traps. It continues working permanently.
