cold rad.

I have one rad in house that is barely warm. I assume its a balancing problem as water comes out straight away when bled. How difficult is it to balance a radiator. Does it need a professional?? The pipe leading to rad is red hot and the opposite end is cold.

Either you have a blockage/sludge on the return side or the rad valve need to be open more.

try opening the valves at both end turn them anticlockwise if that don't work remove the rad and flush it (if your confident to do that)
