Cold taps upstairs only produce a much reduced flow. There is a gate valve on the tank outlet which only appears to have minimal effect on the flow. So just wondering if it is the pipe which has become blocked or possibly the gate valve jammed/broken?

Water flow diminished gradually so tending towards a blocked pipe. Any thoughts / comments welcomed!

The cold taps should be mains fed the gate valve should be in the supply to the dhw cyclinder.

In any case gate valves commonly break in shut half shut or open position. Change it.

You might have balanced cold to a shower but I wouldn't want any other cold taps to come from header tank in my house.

I have already ordered a replacement gate valve ... the supply from the tank appears to feed upstairs bathroom taps and shower and the ensuite sink and shower .. as far as I can tell. There appears to be a separate pipe to the immersion tank, but feel free to doubt me as I am in no way a plumber!
Appreciate the response
