Cold water getting into hot supply

Hi All

I have the Wb engineer fixing my combi boiler, noisy leaky etc(see other email and I took your advice). One of the causes is that with the hot water shut off at the boiler , my hot taps still have a little cold water coming out. He thinks it could be a dodgy shower valve or one on the mixer taps, and it is pushing a little cold water into the hot supply,

is there a process of elimination where I can find the offending tap?

Isolate each tap in turn till the other taps stop running.
