colouring grout

hi everybody, can I ask the clever folks on here the easiest way to colour grout. i have 12 tiles to fix as a basin splashback and have bought mapei tile and grout. after i have fixed the tiles I would like to use black grout so can i colour the remains of the tub and use that?
