colours run in wash

hi, don't suppose anyone knows how to remove colour when colours have run in the wash..i recently got some blue splogs on a white jacket.thanx
 
bought something from waitrose a while back - you soak the offended item seperately...a bit scary because it looks like you are totally bleaching it, but when you remove said item from the liquid it returns to its old colour minus the marks...dont quite understand how it works..just know it does. Also pretty useless on the info front because I cant remember what it was called, just that it comes in small blue/white/green sachets and is available from Waitrose :oops:
