combi boiler doesn't fire when I turn on bathroom hot tap

The bathroom hot tap works ok if the CH is on or if I first turn on another hot tap (e.g. the shower).

If the CH is not on then I only get cold from the bathroom sink. Therefore the problem seems to be that the bathroom sink hot tap doesn't fire up the combi boiler when used alone. The combi is a lynx II.

Any suggestions as to what I could do to fix this myself?

Try replacing the domestic hot water flow switch Part No. 222131

Alternatively invest in a new boiler. Lynx Mk2 finished production over 12 years ago!
