Combi Boiler issue. Shower cycles from hot to cold.

Hi. I was looking for a bit of advice before getting someone out to look at the boiler. Just want to get up to speed at what could be causing it. It's a combi boiler, Ferroli Optima 701. The issue is with:

1. The shower loops from hot to cold. It gets really hot, then drops to cold.

2. The pressure on the boiler is 1. When I turn on the central heating to normal, roughly 65, it shoots up to 2. Didn't think the pressure should go up so high with normal use.

I'm thinking it could be the temp sensor, as the water heats up really hot, heating shuts off at its too hot and then needs to kick back in again as it becomes cold?? Doesn't stay constant.

You would do better reading the forum for a few minutes!

You have two faults, one on the hot water and the other on the expansion vessel. Look up the EXV on the FAQ on this site.

Your boiler's plate heat exchanger is probably blocked!
