Combi-boiler not working - simple fix or something serious?

Hi

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Our combi-boiler is not producing any heating as of today (it is still producing hot water though). The clock has been losing time for a little while and now we cannot change the time or get the heating to start.

Is there anything simple that can be done or should we call out our gas man to have a look at it?

Fair enough

Boiler Name = Ferroli F24

Boiler is white (except for those pink polka dots that we added ), the clock is on the front.

The pressure in the system is around 1 (it has worked previously at this level).

The digital display is still visible and we have tried to reset it but this hasn't had any effect as we can now not change the time - the buttons don't seem to be working.

As previously stated we still have hot water & we had heating last night. I have been working from home today and have not heard any noises from the boiler (we have previously had problems with getting air out of the system).

Any other info that I should provide?

I think that you boiler has a fault!

It could well be the timeclock!

They often cost about £35 and a boiler engineer might charge about £60-£90 to come and diagnose the problem and change it.

At least you have hot water so you could fill a hot water bottle to keep yourself warm.

However its still 9.5° C outside and it was about 23° in Richmond this afternoon.
