HI ALL
I was wondering if anyone can help me solve this problem.
I have a WORCESTER HEATSLAVE 9.24 COMBI BOILER with a HORSTMANN 425 TIARA timer (clockwork type!!!)
This morning there was a very loud grumbling type noise coming from the boiler when the timer kicked in and the heating came on, i switched everthing off,on checking i noticed that the pilot light was out, i reignighted the boiler and then put the heating switch to on, heating started ok, with the water switched off i am getting hot water through the taps when i turn the taps on!!
If the heating is switched off, then no hot water, heating on then hot water.
The switch that operates the water side will not work at all.
I hope anyone can understand what i am saying, and can come up with any idea to what is wrong.
MONTY CABOODLE

The diverter valve has failed.

Depending on the exact model of the 9.24 then that can be a fairly easy or a complicated job which requires the gas valve to be removed. ( CORGI )
