Hi,

I have just turned on our central heating, and the Glow Worm Betacom 24 combi boiler seems to be making a lot more noise than it needs to. It has always been fine with the hot water, it is only now with the heating that it is loud. There is nothing strange about the noise, just kind of sounds like it is working overtime. It was only installed in summer last year, and was never a problem throughout the last winter. My fiance is insistent that I get an engineer out to have a look, but is there anything I can try before calling an engineer?

The pressure is on about 1.5. When I first turned on the heating, it went up to about 2, so i released some air from one of the rads, and now it sits on about 1.4 when cold, and 1.6 when hot.

Thanks in advance
Dave.

Pressure sounds good, these boilers can make a noise if the CO/CO2 settings are not correct, you will need a boiler engineer for that.
