Combi Boiler Switching On & Off - Help please

Hi,

I am completely new to this forum, and a beginner DIYer - and completely novice plumber! we have just moved into a new house with a Combi boiler and noticed that it keeps switching itself on and off about every 10mins even when everything else is switched off and there are no hot taps running.

The boiler is outside in the garage with a frost setting which is shown on the inside controller of 5C but the outside day time temperature at the moment is still higher than this and the boiler comes on and off all the time, it seems to be irrespective of temperature.

Is this a problem with the boiler?

might help if you put a boiler make and model number in your post.


most of us are quite good with boilers, but out psychic capabilities are a bit lacking


could be a hot water preheat function of the boiler.
