Hello, I know nothing about DIY so please can someone tell me if it is true a combi boiler cannot cope with a house that has two shower rooms.

Its all comes down to the pressure/flow on your incoming water main. The greater the pressure, the better the flow therefore a bigger capacity combi will cope with more than one draw off point. It also depends on the capacity of the showers.
