i have a combi boiler to heat my hot water requirements, its a firebird 70, the problem i have is that no water comes from the tap when i turn the hot tap on, the cold tap works ok, sometimes if i turn the cold tap on and off a few times then try the hot water, ocasionally this gets the hot tap working, has anyone any ideas what is causing this problem?

check that the cold water is flowing into the boiler, it may have been turned off by an isolation valve or in some cases I have found that if the filling loop has one end still open then it will not allow the hot to flow. No doubt someone will ridicule me and pass this off as nonsense but hey who gives a 5hit
