Combi or unvented with sump pump?

Current set-up: UK, 3 bed Victorian semi, 4, occupants, 2 mixer showed, 37kW Vaillant boiler with 300L Ariston unvented cylinder in damp cellar.

Problem: unvented cylinder is leaking and sump pump has failed.

Our plumber has quoted:

- £2k parts + £1k labour to replace cylinder and sump pump. That leaves the 12 year old corroded boiler potentially in need of replacement in the near future (another £2k parts + £1k labour?).

- or, £2k parts and £2k labour to replace with a 30/32kW combi.

Any advice?

Since the cellar is unavoidably damp, I'm keen for simplicity, hence leaning towards the combi, especially since it means everything is new. But, I'm not sure whether it will meet our needs in terms of occasionally using both showers at the same time.
