hi i have a combi boiler and roughly every week it looses all pressure i have ahd 2 plumbers out and they both replaced the expansion vessell obviously i dont want another one!! any ideas??

obviosly not a obvious one if there is one, i live in a bungalow and all the pipes are in the walls and loft space and im sure that after about 6 months of this i would have spotted a leak???

what pressure do you top it up to?
what pressure does it read when its running full pelt?
there is a pipe that goes from the boiler to outside (for the pressure relief ) does water ever come out of this?
when they changed the expansion vessel, did they change the PRV (pressure relief valve)?

yes i put a bag over the blow off valve and water did come out

pressure is a constant 1.5 bar

unsure if they changed the said valve?

Once the valve has opened it often won't seal tightly again.

That's probably where you're losing pressure.

The seat of the Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) can be stopped from closing down due to debris in the system becoming lodged on the PRV seat.

Get a Corgi to clean/replace the PRV. Should solve the problem.
