Combi - Quick Question.....

Hi all,

My Worcester 280 Combi has just had a new Sync motor fitted by an engineer as my Heating wasn't working but the Hot Water was.
Seems a lot better but have noticed that the boiler frequntly switches itself off even though the temperature (set by the thermostat) has not been reached. A few minutes later it will start again....

Is this normal behaviour? I thought it would continuously run until the desired temerature was reached.

Maybe it has always exhibited this but have never noticed.

So is there a stat on the boiler as well as the room stat?

What's the purpose of it? To prevent the boiler from overheating??
