Composite door cracked

Front composite door has developed a crack in it in 2 places.
It was fitted in 2007.
Anybody had this happen to them?
Not sure what to do - a new door will cost over 1,200 so I can;t really afford this.
Ihave accidental damage on my insurance or should it be under warranty - we bought the house 5 years ago so not installed on our watch.
Not sure what I can do.

Sounds like typical sun damage and very common with composite doors especially dark colours or south facing. You could have claimed on the 10 year warranty if it was still valid but now only have your buildings cover, I'd imagine you wouldn't be covered for sun damage only accidental so I'll leave the rest to your imagination
