Hi

The house we moved into several years ago has a composite door. The previous owner, who was terrible at diy, decided to paint the door. He painted what was a black door, red, which has now obviously faded. Any help on what I can do to remove it to get it back to black.
Thanks

Sand it down (to flatten and key the existing paint, not to remove it), then paint it black. Ask on the decorating forum about any special paint or primers for composite.

Hi Leanne, Bedec msp, should be perfect for you. 750ml will be enough to do your door.

The edge looks similar to how my old door was, which was steel skins on a timber frame with the gap filled with foam. if yours is the same the black will be paint. Could be worth checking with a magnet before buying paint.
