concealed cistern installation nightmare

have spent the weekend fitting a combined cocealed cistern and basin unit from Victoria Plumb. We are having a problem with the cistern overfilling have to keep flushing then isolating the water, at our wits end-any help would be greatly appreciated

Photographs would be a help as would the name of the manufacturer of the cistern.

Make sure the fill valve's plastic float isn't touching the sides of the cistern/flush valve and can move freely. When tightening the fill valve into the cistern or the inlet pipe onto the valve it is easy to twist the fill valve round and the float catches on it's side and cannot move up freely to shut the valve off.
