Hi all,

I need some advice and what the best solution may be.

A few years ago I replaced the parts inside the cistern to Viva parts as pictured, however you need to hold down the flush button to fully flush because if you let go it stops, even by pressing the down the flush button most of the time it still doesn’t get rid of everything as the pressure doesn’t seem great coming out of the cistern?

So I’ve started looking at replacing the whole cistern, would this make a difference? The current width is 500mm and the height is 300mm roughly but the ones online are smaller in size, does this mean it will hold less water? attached is a picture of the sizing of a grohe.

Thanks.

As cisterns now only need to hold enough water to flush 6 litres ,they are inclined to be a lot smaller than they were.
Changing your cistern will not solve your problem.
If your flush valve isn't flushing 6 litres there is something amiss with it.
The volume of water they flush can be adjusted, maybe that's all yours needs .
