I'm looking to build some storage units across my bathroom wall, which will conceal my toilet cistern. Can I adapt my flush to be mounted on the new concealing unit? It's currently mounted on top of the cistern and is a push button type. I'm happy for the new flush to be mounted on the front of new unit or directly on top, maybe directly above old flush if that helps.

Many thanks
Adam

If its a cable or pressure tube operated push button it should be straightforward. If its a push rod type it will be trickier but may be possible if you can line it up precisely and extend the push rods.

Or replace the flush valve with a fluidmaster which has a cable operation

Or, if there's direct line-of-sight between where the flush button is to be fitted and the outlet hole of the cistern, fit a Fluidmaster flapper (extending the chain, if necessary).
