Quick question/s

I was seconds away from paying someone to lay an extension to my concrete driveway, but now I'm dong it myself.

First is the following correct

8" down with 4" mot1 compacted and then 4" concrete with a mix of 5 ballast 1 concrete.

Secondly should I lay a membrane under the mot1 which is sitting on clay soil?

Thirdly, should I section the concrete to stop it splitting. The extension is roughly 1.6m by 6m. Can I lay this in one slab or 2/3

Ta!

If your measurements are correct you require .96C.M.so call it 1C.M. and have it delivered, tell the company what you want it for and they'll ensure you get the right mix.

Not an expert on the expansion joints, you may get away with one in the middle or possibly one at two and another at four metres should be the way to go.
