Concrete instead of floorboards

Hi,

I'm knocking through from the kitchen (concrete floor) into the dining room (floorboards) in a 1930s house.

It looks like there will be a slight difference in height between the two floors and I'd like to have the whole thing tiled uniformly.

What do I have to consider when taking the floorboards up in the dining room and filling with concrete?

Besides pipe's wires etc.

Or is there another solution?

if there is a very deep void to fill, be sure to do it in layers, compacting each layer. fill no more than 150-200mm at a time.

if there is airflow passing through this void, be sure to continue this airflow using ducting.

don't forget to use d.p.m.

it wouldn't hurt to use a little floor insulation either.

on the other hand, and if floor levels allow, just remove the floor boards and use 18mm ply or thicker.

Would it not be cheaper/quicker level the floor joists to suit the level of the concrete floor,
