Hi

My kitchen floor is concrete and has been extended. The extended floor I think is a slab over hardcore with a screed ontop.

However where the extension meets the original there is a 6 to 12mm step - now i have lifted the old floor covering. I think its been like this since I moved in - 8 years.

It appears that the new slab has settled and dropped. There is an almighty crack right down the join of the two floors.

Guess what i want it levelled, or made flat to lay a new floor.

What do i do - its too big an area (4.5m sq) to keep pouring self leveller - I think?

Can u help?
