Hi,
I’m looking to set a concrete lintel flush across a concrete path.
This is to provide a smoother surface for a flood barrier seal that I’m putting over the area and will be a continued length with no joints.
Also I’m thinking of reducing the lintel width to 50/60mm to prevent having to dig down to 100mm.
Would this be alright as I can’t think of any other concrete edging for the required length needed (1500mm) ?

thanks,
craig

hi Craig

Could just fill the hole with postcrete and smooth the top as it sets.

Yes that’s a good idea, although I’m not sure how easy postcrete is to get level as it’s quite gritty!

It can be smoothed over as it starts to set. Use a piece of timber the width of the opening and pat down when postcrete starts to go off.
