Hi, hope this is posted in the right area.
I had external tiles on my front and back house steps. These were recently removed as they'd become loose and generally unsightly. My idea was to treat and paint the concrete steps white. Steps were duly cleared of all flaky material using a stiff masonry brush and treated with 2 coats of concrete stabiliser prior to painting. My problem now is the steps are still giving off a white residue (white cat paw prints and human footmarks all over the paths! Not quite the white xmas we had in mind! Any advice would be appreciated.
