Think all manufacturers want 32mm going through the wall nowadays. But as said RTFM.

At the end of the day. It is up to the installers to spec the condensate pipework so that it will not freeze. Seen many with 32mm through the wall that have frozen.

Ok its for an ideal and the spec, 32mm these days. So guess this needs to be followed?

though the pipe exits through a stud wall so 22mm would be easyier

Well you can fit whatever you like, as long as you remember how easy it was to fit 22mm when it is all frozen up.... More money for the likes of us...

But if Ideal say 32mm then they could well use it as a get out on warranty claims..
